A serious single-vehicle accident has led to the temporary closure of a road north of Wiarton.
Emergency services were dispatched to the scene on Mar Sideroad between Highway 6 and Bruce Road 9 just before noon on Saturday.
Grey Bruce OPP have not yet provided details on any injuries, but they described the incident as “serious.” Authorities also warned drivers that the closure of Mar Sideroad might last for an extended period due to ongoing investigations and clean-up efforts.
“Please avoid the area and use alternate routes,” police said in a social media post.
Updates regarding the situation are expected later today from law enforcement.
