Hurricane Isaias is expected to make landfall either Friday night or Saturday morning, which might affect the Thanksgiving weekend plans in Toronto.
The long weekend will kick off with a mild and dry start, featuring a mix of sun and clouds along with a high of 19 C. Windy conditions will persist, with gusts reaching up to 50 kilometres an hour, and temperatures dropping to 7 C overnight.
Saturday morning may see some patchy fog, but it should warm up to 19 C during the day with that same mix of sun and clouds, cooling down to 11 C overnight.
On Sunday, expect a mild start but clouds will increase before scattered showers and periods of rain arrive. Rainfall amounts could reach between 10 and 15 millimetres; however, it will still be warm with a high of 20 C.
The weather should improve later on Thanksgiving Monday as early showers give way to sunny breaks in the afternoon with temperatures peaking at 22 C.
Beginning next Wednesday, cooler and more autumn-like weather is anticipated.
