The Toronto Maple Leafs and Ottawa Senators are set to continue their rivalry tonight. The two Ontario teams face off for the first time this season at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto.
This matchup adds even more excitement as former Senators captain Daniel Alfredsson is now part of the coaching staff for the Maple Leafs, a move that surprised fans from both sides.
Toronto has already played two games this season with a record of 1-1. They’re coming off a close win against the New York Islanders, finishing with a score of 3-2.
On the other hand, Ottawa will kick off their 2026-27 NHL season tonight. The Senators had a busy offseason highlighted by trading their former captain Brady Tkachuk to the Florida Panthers.
Oddly enough, oddsmakers have made this game a toss-up with no clear favorite to win.
Betting Odds for Maple Leafs vs. Senators
As per Fan Duel Sportsbook’s latest odds, both teams enter tonight’s game with even money on the betting line. Both the Maple Leafs and Senators are set at -110 to win on the moneyline.
If you place a $20 bet on either team to win, you could see a total payout of $38.18 if they come out on top-definitely an enticing option for bettors looking for action on this game.
The expectations for scoring aren’t high either; oddsmakers have set the total goals prop at 6.5 goals. Betting under that number is favored at -134 while going over is listed at +110.
Bettors might also want to look into spread betting; it’s currently set at 1.5 points.
The Senators are favored on the spread at -265 for covering +1.5 points while the Leafs sit at +210 on -1.5 points.
If you’re considering placing bets on anytime goalscorers, there are some interesting odds available too. Auston Matthews, captain of the Leafs, is favored to net his first goal of this season during tonight’s match-up.
Even though he hasn’t scored yet this season, oddsmakers believe he’ll find his way onto the scoreboard tonight.
Last year was tough due to injuries but Matthews still managed to finish with 27 goals in just 60 games played. Now that he’s healthy again, it might not take long before he starts racking up goals once more.
Meanwhile, Tim Stutzle boasts good odds as well for scoring anytime for Ottawa; he’s listed at +180.
Stutzle concluded last season with an impressive total of 34 goals after hitting his best mark since scoring 39 in the 2022-23 season and will be looking to replicate that success this year with Ottawa. p>

You can find Mc Kenna listed at +290 to score anytime versus Ottawa today-a $20 bet would yield a nice payout totaling $78 should he reach that milestone.
