The finalists for the sixth annual Ontario Made Awards have been announced, with winners set to be revealed on Dec. 1.
Nine manufacturers and retailers from across Canada are being honored for their efforts in promoting and supporting Ontario-made products. Heat Design Equipment, a company based in Kitchener, is among the finalists.
The aim of these awards is to showcase some of the businesses behind the products that Ontarians use every day.
Dennis Darby, President and CEO of Canadian Manufacturers & Exporters, explained why it’s essential to acknowledge and celebrate these companies.
“The Ontario Made Awards shine a spotlight on the businesses behind the products Ontarians use every day, and the people helping to build a stronger manufacturing sector across our province. That recognition matters, and so does creating opportunities for businesses to connect and grow together. Through Ontario Made, we are helping manufacturers build valuable B2B relationships, discover new suppliers and strengthen supply chains here in Ontario.”
Public voting for the finalists was open from Aug. 10 to Sept. 30. Winners will be selected after evaluation by a panel of industry experts during a reception at Queen’s Park in Toronto.
With over 81,000 votes counted across three categories, here are the finalists.
