Authorities are seeking assistance in locating a pilot who took off from Oshawa Airport at 8:30 a. m. on August 14, 2026.
David, 73, is an experienced aviator who left the airport in a single home-built aircraft and was expected back by 9:30 a. m.
He is described as: male, standing at 5’7” tall with a slim physique. He has black/grey hair and sports a moustache.
The aircraft he was flying is noted as being blue and yellow, also a home-built model.

David usually flies around the area south of Kawartha Lakes township and north of Lake Scugog, but the last known position of his aircraft is thought to be near Balsam Lake.
The DRPS is collaborating with the Ontario Provincial Police and the Trenton Joint Rescue Coordination Centre to help find the missing man.
