A man from London has been charged with second-degree murder after a stabbing incident, marking the city’s second homicide this week.
Emergency responders discovered a man suffering from life-threatening injuries on Monday around 6:15 p. m. after they were called to a reported stabbing on Dundas Street, just east of Adelaide Street, according to police.
The victim, identified by police on Thursday as Charles Alexander Raymond George, 34, from London, was taken to the hospital but sadly succumbed to his injuries.
Luis Angel Rivera-Parez, 26, also from London, faces charges of second-degree murder and failing to comply with a release order. He made a brief appearance in court on Thursday and was ordered into custody.
Police confirmed that the deceased and the suspect were acquainted with each other.
