A person has lost their life after a crash in Oakville on Tuesday night, according to Halton police.
Officers responded around 6:45 p. m. to a collision between a silver sedan and motorcycle near Dundas Street E. and Eight Line, Halton police stated in a news release.
Police informed that the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene, and there were no details available regarding other injuries.
They reported that the car was making a left turn on Dundas Street when it struck the motorcycle heading south.
No arrests have been made so far, and police have not disclosed any other factors that may have contributed to the crash. Collision reconstruction investigators are now managing the scene.
The eastbound and westbound lanes on Dundas Street E. are closed between Postridge Drive and Eighth Line, police noted.
Anyone who saw the crash or has video footage of the incident is encouraged to reach out to law enforcement.
