This marks the fourteenth time a multi-million dollar prize has been awarded. During the much-anticipated 11:00 Grand Prize winner call, Yasmeen revealed that she had recently lost her job, making this news even more timely. As a long-time fan of the Thunder Bay 50/50, she answered on the very first ring at 11:00 and definitely had a feeling about what was happening. “My heart is palpitating, I’m here with my mother and she told me to make sure it wasn’t a scam,” said Yasmeen. “I’m so grateful for this win, but I’m also happy that this all goes to such a great cause; I couldn’t think of a better organization to support.” October’s Thunder Bay 50/50 is now underway and looks set to be one of the largest in the Foundation’s history. There are $225,000 in total Early Bird Prizes up for grabs, along with 37 chances to win and the return of bonus (and fan-favorite “Super Bonus Numbers”).
