The Upper Ottawa Valley (UOV) Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a man from Pembroke with Armed Robbery following their investigation.
On Thursday, Sept. 24, around 10:30 a. m., OPP was alerted about a robbery at a business located on Mackay Street near Mary Street in Pembroke, where they took 45-year-old Jason Gareau into custody without any issues.
Police presence in the area increased as they began searching for the suspect, with both the Emergency Response Team (ERT) and the Canine Unit (K9) deployed before his arrest.
The suspect faces charges under the Criminal Code for:
