York Regional Police are looking into a shooting that took place at a home in Markham, where a suspect reportedly fired a gun towards the property before escaping on an e-scooter.
The police received a call about the incident shortly after 11:30 a. m. on August 15, near Major Mackenzie Drive East and Angus Glen Boulevard. Investigators found out that around 6:20 a. m., a male suspect approached the back of the house and fired a weapon toward it.
The suspect then made his getaway on an e-scooter through a nearby golf course. Authorities discovered signs of gunfire at the scene and noted damage to one vehicle. Thankfully, no injuries were reported.
The identity of the suspect remains unknown. The police are asking anyone who might recognize him or who has dashcam or home security footage from that area during the early hours of August 15 to come forward.
