It is with heavy hearts that we share the sudden and tragic passing of our father, Michael Robert Dunn.
Michael was a leader in business, a philanthropist, and a visionary within both the construction field and our community. He impacted countless lives in Windsor and Essex County. To us, he was the backbone of our family, the source of our pride, and our unwavering support.
He lived life fully, showing immense energy and kindness in his work, charitable efforts, and dedication to those around him.
His children Faye (Ari Varsa) Dunn, Randy (Shana) Lesperance, Janice (Karen Turner) Lesperance, and Jeremy (Sari) Dunn are heartbroken; as are his grandchildren Carly, Sean, Naomi, Sophia, Joshua, Grace, and Alex; and his partner Roseanne St. Louis. His loss is also felt deeply by his dear siblings Edward (the late Irene) Dunn, Christine (the late Maurice) Butler, Kim (Steven) Dunn and Kelley Johnston; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends from near and far who were important to him.
We extend our sincere gratitude to the Grosse Pointe Yacht Club, U. S. Coast Guard, Wayne County Sheriff’s Department, Grosse Pointe Shores Department of Public Safety and the Wayne County Medical Examiner’s Office for their caring service during this difficult time. We also want to thank all of our friends and family including the Safrances, Howes, Poissons Jaseys , Peter Berry from the Windsor Port Authority , Michael’s niece Kerri Butler , his brother Kim Dunn , and many others whose names we may not know but whose support has meant so much. Your help in bringing our father home during this painful time has been invaluable.
Dad , we hope you are finding peace with your parents (Bill and Mildred Dunn), Janet Dunn , and all your loved ones who have gone before you.
