Kerrigan Charlotte Rhoda Munroe

With heavy hearts, we share the news of the passing of our dear Kerrigan Charlotte Rhoda Munroe, a proud member of Mishkeegogamang First Nation, who left us on August 14, 2026, at just 12 years old.
Kerrigan was a bright young girl with a creative flair. She found joy in art and had also taken up boxing. Although her time with us was far too short, she filled the lives of those around her with love and happiness. Her family will always hold onto the special moments they shared and the warmth she brought into their lives.
Kerrigan is survived by her cherished siblings Lasandra, Faith, Luke, Adriel, Gregory, David, Hezekiah, Ophelia, and Jassiah; they will always keep their sister close in their hearts.
Her grandmothers Sandra Munroe and Janice Rae; grandfathers Gregory Munroe; great-grandmothers Daisy Munroe and Ida Rae will remember her fondly. Kerrigan will also be greatly missed by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, and all who knew her.
She was predeceased by her loving mother Alvina Rae and father Andrew Munroe. Additionally, she lost her grandfather Micheal Rae as well as great-grandparents Absalom and Rhoda Beardy; Henry Munroe; Johnny and Charlotte Rae along with other loved ones who went before her.
Kerrigan’s time with us may have been too brief but our love for her is everlasting. She will forever be remembered as a daughter, sister, granddaughter, great-granddaughter, niece, cousin and a precious girl who was deeply cared for.
Services will take place on Tuesday August 25th , 2026 at 1:00pm in the Westfort Chapel located at 420 West Gore Street in Thunder Bay. Following this service there will be an interment at Riverside Cemetery where Kerrigan will rest beside her father.
