York Regional Police (YRP) have taken action against a registered massage therapist following a report from a woman who said she was sexually assaulted during a session at a Vaughan wellness clinic earlier this month.
According to investigators, the incident occurred on May 9 at a clinic located near Rutherford Road and Vellore Woods Boulevard. The police stated that the victim had gone in for a scheduled massage when the therapist reportedly touched her with sexual intent.
The suspect was apprehended two days later, on May 11, and has been charged with sexual assault. Authorities have identified the accused as Thong (Tony) Tran, 55, of Brampton.
Investigators have released an image of Tran, expressing their belief that there may be other victims who have yet to come forward.
