Police report that the driver missed a turn on the south side of Causley Street and was trying to back into a business entrance when the accident happened.

BLIND RIVER – On Wednesday, June 10 at around 4:45 a. m., officers from the East Algoma Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a single commercial motor vehicle accident at the east end of Causley Street in Blind River. When police arrived, they found a tractor-trailer in a ditch, partially obstructing the road. Their investigation revealed that the commercial driver had missed a turn on the south side of Causley Street and was attempting to reverse into a business entrance when this incident occurred. Following their investigation, a 30-year-old driver from Brampton, Ontario, received several Provincial Offence Notices and was charged with: Careless driving Fail to surrender inspection schedule Drivers of commercial vehicles must operate safely and ensure they have all necessary documentation for inspection.
