A visitation took place on Friday for the five siblings who tragically lost their lives in a crash in Mapleton Township, Ont. on June 12.
They have all been identified as part of the Doerksen family.
Peter was just 12 years old, Sara was 8, Maggie was 6, and Susy was 4. All four passed away at the scene of the accident.
Their sister, Helena, aged 10, was declared dead after arriving at the hospital.
The visitation occurred at Wallenstein Bible Chapel in Wallenstein, Ont.
A funeral service is planned for Saturday at 2 p. m., followed by burial in Milverton, Ont.

Peter and Elisabeth Bartsch were also traveling in the van that night. Their daughter mentioned that both families were heading to an evening gathering hosted by another church member.
“My father is recovering well physically,” Anna Thiessen wrote via email on June 17. “My mother remains at Hamilton General Hospital and is continuing her recovery. While her condition has seen both improvements and setbacks, we are encouraged by the overall progress she has made.”

All ten individuals involved hailed from Atwood area.
The driver of the SUV also suffered broken legs and was taken to a hospital in Hamilton.

Heartbreaking Incident in Mapleton Township

The Ontario Provincial Police reported that Judit sustained critical injuries and was taken to a trauma center while Cornelius was transported to a Listowel hospital where he is stable. “Our youngest brother has now been released from the hospital. Thankfully, his injuries were limited to a broken leg, and he is recovering well at home,” his sister Nancy Doerksen shared on the family’s Go Fund Me page. “Our mom continues her recovery journey and is making slow but steady progress. Following the Collision
Online fundraising efforts have been established for those affected by this tragedy. The campaign for the Bartsch family had raised over $32,000 by Friday afternoon while another fundraiser for the Doerksens surpassed $337,000.
