Megan passed away after a long illness, surrounded by her family at Southlake Health in Newmarket on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, at the age of 42. She was a loving daughter of Diane King (the late James Wood), and was preceded in death by her father Robert Rooney. Megan was a devoted mother to Traven Rooney and Ethan Russell, all from Keswick, Ontario. Her family, friends, and loved ones will miss her deeply. A heartfelt thank you goes out to the nurses in the Palliative Care Unit at Southlake Health. A Memorial Visitation will be held at M. W. Becker Funeral Home, located at 490 The Queensway South, Keswick on Friday, May 15, 2026 from 12:00 p. m. to 3:00 p. m.
