A resident from Brampton has been charged following a disturbance that took place in a small community in Ontario on Tuesday.
The Ontario Provincial Police reported that they received a call regarding an incident at a home in Listowel around 1:20 p. m. on June 30.
Listowel is located in Perth County, approximately 55 kilometers northwest of Kitchener.
The police increased their presence at the scene and advised the public to avoid the area, according to the OPP.
In a subsequent update, authorities stated that one individual had been taken into custody and two charges were filed.
A 41-year-old man from Brampton was charged with unlawfully entering a dwelling and failing to comply with an undertaking (breaching release conditions related to an existing criminal charge).
The police did not disclose the name of the individual facing charges.
The accused is being held in custody until a bail hearing can take place.
