The 2026 Ontario Hockey League Battle of the Border Tournament will feature twelve teams and take place from October 16-18 at the WFCU Centre in Windsor. This event will showcase talent from the 2011 birth year players ahead of the 2027 OHL priority selections draft.
Over three days, there will be a total of 27 games played. The participating teams include:
Ontario: Elgin Middlesex Canucks (Minor Hockey Alliance of Ontario), Halton Hurricanes (Ontario Minor Hockey Association), Hamilton Steel (OMHA), Toronto Jr. Canadiens (Greater Toronto Hockey League), Toronto Marlboros (GTHL), and Vaughan Kings (GTHL).
USA: Detroit Honey Baked, Detroit Little Caesars, Oakland Grizzlies, Ohio Blue Jackets, Palmyra Black Knights, and Philadelphia Jr. Flyers.
– All round-robin games on October 16 and 17 will feature cross-border matchups.
– Each team is guaranteed to play at least four games.
– The four division winners will move on to the semi-finals on October 18. The two division winners from Ontario will compete in one semi-final while the two USA division winners will clash in the other. This setup ensures an Ontario versus USA championship game.
