Police in La Salle have reached out to the Ontario Provincial Police for assistance with their investigation into the town’s first murder in four years.

On the night of March 3, officers responded to a call at a residence on Todd Lane, where they discovered a woman suffering from multiple stab wounds. The victim, 43-year-old Nancy Grewal, later died from her injuries at Windsor Regional Hospital.

Authorities have executed search warrants at both the Todd Lane home and Grewal’s residence in Windsor. Those living at the Todd Lane location are not viewed as persons of interest in this case.

The investigation is ongoing under the supervision of the OPP Criminal Investigations Branch. The Office of the Chief Coroner and Ontario Forensic Pathology Service are also involved.

This past Sunday, OPP shared footage of a suspect’s vehicle via social media.

Police continue to seek any dashcam or surveillance footage that may show a vehicle parked on a gravel laneway on the north side of Todd Lane near 10th Street between 8:45 p. m. and 9:30 p. m.

Investigators would also like to speak with anyone who noticed any vehicles parked in that lane before March 3.

<p Anyone with information about this investigation is encouraged to contact the OPP at 1-888-310-1122, La Salle Police at 519-969-5210 ext. 2531, Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477, or visit www. catchcrooks. com.
