The Town of Whitby is setting up a big inflatable screen for some exciting World Cup watch parties.

They’ll be holding two outdoor gatherings during Canada’s first games in the upcoming tournament.

On June 12, you can join at Civic Park on Rossland Road East, just west of Garden Street.

You’ll get to see the Canada versus Bosnia and Herzegovina match beside town hall on a large outdoor screen.

The event starts at 2 p. m. and goes until 6 p. m.

Then from 5 p. m. to 9 p. m. on June 18, catch the Canada versus Qatar game outside the Whitby Soccer Dome at 695 Rossland Road West.

To stay comfy, feel free to bring your own lawn chair or blanket.

“Excitement for the FIFA World Cup is building across the country, and I’m thrilled that Whitby residents will have the chance to come together and cheer on Team Canada as a community,” said Mayor Elizabeth Roy. “Whitby has a long and proud sports legacy, and events like these strengthen the sense of connection that makes our town so special. I can’t wait to see these spaces filled with cheering fans as we rally behind our team!”

No alcohol is allowed at the events, and parking might be limited.

Both events are free, family-friendly, and open to everyone of all ages.

“We are witnessing a massive year for the game as Canada hosts the world and Whitby FC marks 60 incredible years,” said Chris Reilly, Technical Director of the Whitby FC. “The energy of a World Cup on home soil is unmatched, and there’s no better way to capture that spirit than at the Town of Whitby’s viewing parties. These events truly reflect Whitby’s strong sporting culture and its deep commitment to sport at every level. I can’t wait to see our community come together in full force to roar for Canada as they chase their best performance ever!”
