Woman Found Dead in Whitby, Ontario

Durham Regional Police have started a homicide investigation following the death of a woman in Whitby, Ont., on Saturday evening. A man is currently in custody.

The woman’s body was discovered when police responded to a residence on Kressman Court around 9 p. m. They found her inside the home, close to County Lane and Rossland Road, without any vital signs. She was declared dead at the scene.

Investigators believe this incident is isolated and there’s no ongoing threat to public safety.
