The municipal election is just around the corner, less than a week away.

CBC K-W reached out to candidates running for region, city and township councils, along with school board trustees in Waterloo region and Guelph. They shared their key issues, reasons for running, and what they want voters to know about them.

School board elections:

The trustees for the French-language school board have been acclaimed. They are:

Not all candidates replied to the survey request. If candidates respond between now and Monday, their answers will be added to the stories. Candidates wishing to take part in the survey can email CBC K-W.

CBC K-W has focused its municipal election coverage on issues that matter most to voters as determined through an online voluntary survey.
