This weekend in the Waterloo region looks cool, cloudy, and possibly rainy, but there are still plenty of events happening to get you out enjoying what the community has to offer.

Farm League Brewing in Cambridge is putting on the Odd Farm Festival on Saturday from 3 p. m. to 7 p. m., featuring music, a market, tattoos, and some tasty pints. There will be an admission fee.

You can also check out the Guelph Art Market on Sunday from 11 a. m. to 4 p. m. at the Guelph Farmers’ Market building, showcasing over 50 local artists and makers.

A variety of walks are scheduled for Saturday including:

The Region of Waterloo Paramedic Services will hold an open house on Saturday from 10 a. m. to 2 p. m. at their facility located at 1001A Erbs Rd. in Waterloo. It’s a great opportunity to meet paramedics, explore an ambulance, enjoy story time, and participate in more fun activities.

After a spirited community pep rally earlier this week, the Kitchener Rangers have made their way to Kelowna, B. C., for the Memorial Cup. They’ll face off against the host team, the Kelowna Rockets, Friday night at 9 p. m. ET with games being broadcasted on TSN.

Fans rally for Kitchener Rangers ahead of Memorial Cup

Hundreds of Kitchener Rangers fans gathered outside Kitchener’s city hall Tuesday evening to celebrate the team’s recent Ontario Hockey League championship victory-their first J. Ross Robertson Cup title in nearly two decades. The community pep rally allowed fans to congratulate players in person and cheer them on as they head off to compete for the Memorial Cup in Kelowna, B. C., where CBC K-W’s Diego Pizarro spoke with fans and Kitchener Mayor Barry Vrbanovic during the event.

This Saturday afternoon, the Kitchener Panthers will be taking on Barrie but will return home Sunday for a game against the Welland Jackfish starting at 2:05 p. m.

The Guelph Royals have quite a packed schedule as well; they’re playing in London Friday night before hosting their home opener against the Brantford Red Sox on Saturday and then heading off to Toronto for a Sunday afternoon match-up.

Kitchener-Waterloo Art Gallery

This free weekend festival aims to celebrate art, music, and mutual aid initiatives. On Saturday there’ll be a seedling exchange along with plant pot decorating activities, mini tours of the art gallery’s Sharing the Passion exhibit followed by an outdoor concert featuring Shebad.

On Sunday you’ll see the launch of the Garden of Resilience as well as an announcement regarding this year’s gardener-in-residence. Additionally there’s going to be a Youth Art Market along with a community workshop focused on creating botanical scents.

Girls Can Fly

Saturday 10 a. m. to 4 p. m. Region of Waterloo International Airport This free family event invites young women interested in aviation careers while providing fun activities for everyone else too! There’ll be aircraft displays and tours along with interactive flight simulators plus booths set up by local aviation groups and community organizations. You can also expect children’s activities alongside educational exhibits plus food vendors ready for you!

Saturday at 7 p. m. Kitchener Memorial Auditorium If you’re into wrestling don’t miss out-join stars like Shannon Moore,, Rhino,, Tyler Bateman,, Soultaker,, Victoria Crawford among others during this live wrestling show!
