(CSE: HBFG) (OTCQB: HBFGF) (“Happy Belly” or the “Company”), a top player in bringing together new restaurant brands, is excited to share that our multi-unit franchisee David Lamph has opened his 9th Heal location in the City of Waterloo, Ontario. This new spot supports Heal’s careful and asset-light growth strategy as the brand keeps expanding in Ontario’s thriving urban and suburban areas. “The opening of our latest location in the City of Waterloo shows our ongoing commitment to bringing Heal into vibrant community-focused markets with great demographics and busy foot traffic,” said Sean Black, Chief Executive Officer of Happy Belly Food Group. “Situated between the University of Waterloo and Wilfrid Laurier University, this spot puts Heal Wellness right in one of Canada’s most appealing student markets, providing access to a lively customer base made up of students, faculty, staff, and young professionals.”

With over 41,000 full- and part-time students at the University of Waterloo and more than 17,500 undergraduate and graduate students at Laurier’s Waterloo campus, Heal Wellness will be conveniently located near about 58,500 students within the nearby university area. This demographic matches well with the Heal Wellness concept since today’s students are increasingly looking for quick, healthy, customizable food options that fit their active lifestyles. Our menu featuring açai bowls, smoothies, protein add-ons, fresh fruit, and wellness-focused offerings is crafted to meet this need.

Heal Wellness is gaining traction as consumers seek out wellness-focused QSR concepts across major Canadian cities. With a scalable model and strong unit economics along with an expanding network of experienced franchise partners, Heal is well-positioned to strengthen its presence throughout Ontario while also branching out into more Canadian and U. S. markets.

With 39 locations open now and over 169 more in development stages, Heal adds to Happy Belly’s larger portfolio which includes 686 contractually committed retail franchise locations across various emerging brands at different points in development or operation. Our steady growth strategy continues to yield tangible results as we expand our brands across Canada and the U. S., creating lasting value for our shareholders.”

“We’re just getting started,” said Sean Black.
