Early Tuesday morning, a shocking event took place near Carrville Woods Circle and Crimson Forest Drive in Vaughan. A homeowner used his legally-owned firearm to shoot one of three masked intruders who entered his house. Ontario Premier Doug Ford praised the homeowner’s actions, highlighting the importance of self-defense. The York Regional Police confirmed that the homeowner isn’t facing any charges since the firearm was legally owned and properly stored.

This incident brings attention to the ongoing discussion about self-defense laws in Ontario and how legal gun ownership plays a role in personal safety. UL Lawyers Legal Team is available to help you understand these updates.
