A motorcyclist has lost their life after a crash in Vaughan on Saturday evening.
According to Ontario Provincial Police, the incident occurred just before 7 p. m. in the northbound lanes of Highway 400 close to Rutherford Road.
Police reported that the motorcyclist, a 43-year-old from Wasaga Beach, hit the back of a pickup truck and was then struck by another vehicle.
No other injuries have been reported, and authorities stated that no charges have been laid concerning the accident.
Witnesses told police that the motorcyclist was driving “aggressively” just before crashing into another vehicle.
All lanes of Highway 400 heading towards Rutherford Road were closed for several hours on Saturday night while police conducted their investigation. They were reopened early Sunday morning, according to a post on social media from police.
