“The truth is what Roger Marshall did is extreme and hurt Kansans,” Hamilton expressed.
“Voters should know the truth about who their senator is and what he’s done.”
Other issues are negatively impacting Republican prospects in Kansas, such as rising diesel and fertilizer prices.
Trump also upset cattle farmers by allowing large beef imports into the country to lower prices.
At the Kansas State Fair, usually friendly territory for conservatives, Marshall was met with loud boos from attendees.
The tight race has led prominent Republicans to attack Hamilton based on his faith.
“We have got Dr Roger Marshall, a proud servant of this state, and a proud Christian to boot, versus a guy who would insult your faith and spit on your religion to accrue donations to himself,” said Vice President JD Vance.
“That is left-wing radicalism dressed in the skin suit of our religion.”

Vance’s remarks prompted rare criticism from David Wilson, bishop of the Great Plains Conference of The United Methodist Church.
“The language used, in effect, criticizes fellow Christians merely for living up to what Jesus taught in the Gospel texts.
“A reading of the parable of sheep and goats found in Matthew 25 is helpful for reference.”
Hamilton’s church ranks as the largest one in Kansas.
A recent Emerson College poll showed Hamilton leading by one point over Marshall.
This narrow result falls within the margin of error but certainly raises concerns among Republicans.
The party also lags behind in other traditionally conservative states like Texas, Alaska, Ohio and Iowa.
