A man in his 20s has lost his life following a shooting in North York on Friday night, according to police.
Officers responded to reports of a man shot near Sheppard Avenue W. and Magellan Drive around 10:15 p. m., as stated by Toronto police on social media.
They found a man suffering from gunshot wounds and he was rushed to the hospital in critical condition. Unfortunately, he was later declared dead at the hospital.
Authorities say they are uncertain if one or more suspects were involved, but witnesses reported seeing a dark-colored vehicle leaving the scene.
If anyone has information, they’re encouraged to reach out to investigators, according to officials. Police plan to release more details about the incident on Saturday.
