A man has lost his life after the motorcycle he was riding collided with a pickup truck towing an RV near Tillsonburg, according to the Ontario Provincial Police.

The incident occurred around 12:45 p. m. on Saturday, when authorities received reports of the crash at the intersection of Plank Line and Ostrander Road, a rural area located north of Tillsonburg. The motorcyclist, a 50-year-old individual from Woodstock, was taken to the hospital but was later pronounced dead, police stated.

As of late Saturday evening, the investigation by the OPP’s Oxford detachment was still ongoing. Authorities are encouraging anyone who witnessed the accident or has dashboard-camera or surveillance footage from that time to reach out to the Oxford OPP at 1-888-310-1122.

The intersection of Plank Line and Ostrander Road remained closed for several hours while emergency crews and investigators worked at the scene; however, it had reopened by late Saturday night, according to police.
