We’re looking for local golfers to participate in the 32nd annual TDMH Foundation Golf Tournament.
Scheduled for Friday, Sept. 11 at the Bridges of Tillsonburg, the event is already filling up fast, but organizers want a full roster to help with equipment purchases and the bed replacement program at Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital (part of Rural Roads Health Services).
The fee is $800 per foursome, which includes lunch, dinner, golf and a cart, plus an exciting live auction. While we prefer you register as a foursome, smaller groups are welcome too. There are also limited social tickets available for those who just want to enjoy the meal and auctions afterwards.
Lindsay Tribble, foundation development assistant and golf committee chair, mentioned that the menu created by Chrissy’s Catering is “spectacular”.
“I’ve seen the menu, and he’s gone over and above,” she teased.
The live auction will have some exciting items like NHL and London Knights hockey tickets, a six-course dinner for eight people catered by Chrissy’s Catering in the buyer’s home, and a night’s stay at a bed and breakfast on an alpaca farm.
“And you get to spend time with Snickers the Donkey,” said Gerry Dearing, foundation executive director. He explained that Snickers has been featured in viral You Tube videos.
Auctioneer Ewart Mc Laughlin always brings an entertaining vibe to the auction.
“You see friends and businesses bidding against each other – it’s a lot of fun,” Tribble noted.
The evening will also feature raffle items and a silent auction.
Last year ’ s tournament raised $52 ,000 , making it one of the foundation ’ s key fundraising events each year.
