The Coldest Night of the Year walk is happening this Saturday in the Friendly City starting at 4:00 p. m. Shaun Baker, a Board Member for Operation Sharing, shares why this event matters so much. “The idea of the Coldest Night of the Year is to help those that are homeless, hungry, and hurt, and so directly funds Operation Sharing, and it is the largest funding in our community for our operation.” Co-organizer Dale Flynn Jr. has a message for everyone. “If you’re not able to walk and you’re able to donate, really the whole goal and the most important part is how much funds can we raise?” There are also other walks going on around Oxford County. You have the chance to join in Tillsonburg or Ingersoll if you can’t make it to Woodstock. They will be raising money for transitional homes managed by United Way Oxford.
