Collision Closes Highway 17 Near Shabaqua Corners

Collision Closes Highway 17 Near Shabaqua Corners

A crash involving two semi-trucks on the Trans-Canada Highway close to Shabaqua Corners has shut down traffic in both directions.

Highway 17 was blocked off shortly after 6 PM.

According to the OPP, they are currently assessing any injuries.

The closure extends all the way to Highway 599 near Ignace.

There’s no word yet on how long the highway will remain closed.
