St. Catharines residents will head to the polls on Oct. 26, 2026, to vote for their next mayor and other municipal leaders.

You can find a complete list of important dates for the election on the city’s official website.

Current Mayor Mat Siscoe announced in July that he plans to run for re-election in 2026. Siscoe has been serving as mayor since November 2022 after being a council member for St. Patrick’s Ward from 2010 until January 2022. He also created the St. Catharines Out Reach and Engagement Fund (SCORE), which aids local non-profits.

The deadline for submitting or withdrawing nominations is set for Aug. 21 at 2 p. m.

Candidates will be displayed alphabetically by last name along with a short biography. This page will be updated regularly as the election progresses, and individual ward candidate lists will follow the same format.

Mayoral Candidates in St. Catharines

Anthony A. Adeoye describes himself as a community-oriented leader, business professional, and advocate for responsible development, public service, and civic involvement. His platform emphasizes public safety, support for small businesses, enhancing municipal services, and more. Henry Bosch Jimmy Jackson previously ran as a candidate for Niagara Centre MPP with the New Blue party. Mat Siscoe (incumbent) was elected mayor in 2022 after serving on council for St. Patrick’s Ward from 2010 to January 2022. He founded SCORE to help local non-profits and is also a former high school teacher. Ann-Marie Zammit’s campaign focuses on revitalizing downtown areas, affordable housing solutions, development at the former GM site, regional representation, and more.

Ward 1 – Merritton

Ward 1 – Merritton is bordered by Jacobson Avenue, Highway 406, Geneva Street, Welland Avenue, the QEW, Eastchester Avenue East, the Welland Canal and St. David’s Road.

Ward 2 – St. Andrew’s

Ward 2 – St. Andrew’s is surrounded by St. David’s Road, 15 Mile Creek, Fourth Avenue, Highway 406 , and Jacobson Avenue.

Ward 3 – St. George’s

Ward 3 – St. George’s includes boundaries defined by Eastchester Avenue East , the QEW , Welland Avenue , Geneva Street , Scott Street , and the Welland Canal.

Alexander Miller Sal Sorrento Mark Stevens (incumbent) Kevin Townsend (incumbent) Kate Werneburg

Ward 4 – St. Patrick’s

Ward 4 – St. Patrick’s is enclosed by Highway 406 , Fourth Avenue ,15 Mile Creek , the QEW , Scott Street , and Geneva Street.

Ward 5 – Grantham

Ward5-Grantham stretches between Scott Street , Geneva Street, Lake Ontario, and Read Road.

Ward6-Port Dalhousie

Ward6-Port Dalhousie lies within Scott Street, the QEW ,15 Mile Creek, Lake Ontario, and Geneva Street borders.
