Police were still present at the scene at the Head Street South home on Friday.

Property records indicate that Barbara Ann Morgan purchased that house in 2017.

A neighbor from Head Street shared with The that the missing man resides in the basement of Morgan’s house.

“Rob was best friends with Barb’s son growing up,” said the neighbor. “He always said she was like a mother to him.”

The Spectator agreed to keep the neighbor’s identity private due to concerns about privacy.

Morgan herself was described as “very nice,” according to the neighbor who noted she enjoyed gardening and would sometimes visit with baked goods and jars of preserves.

On Wednesday, Oct. 8., officers executed a search warrant at a property located on Stanley Street in Simcoe.
