A native of midwestern Ontario is getting ready to take on television’s toughest challenge.
As stated in a press release from Paramount+, 30-year-old game designer Danny Kilby has been selected as a contestant for the 51st season of Survivor. Originally from Mount Forest, he now lives in London, Ontario.
Kilby will join 20 other new castaways vying for the $1 million prize. He is one of two Canadians participating this season, along with 34-year-old voice actress Ana Sani, who hails from Richmond Hill, Ontario.
Jeff Probst, the host and executive producer, mentioned that Season 51 introduces an exciting new concept called the “Open Era.” This fresh format allows twists, idols, and advantages from any previous seasons to pop up unexpectedly at any time.
This landmark season kicks off on Wednesday, September 23, featuring a special two-hour premiere. You can catch episodes airing on CBS or streaming live and on demand via Paramount+.
