With the municipal elections in Ontario set for October 26, the Lambton OPP are cautioning those who might think about interfering with campaign signs.
The detachment has seen a recent increase in reports of election signs being stolen, vandalized, or taken down without consent.
Officers want to remind everyone that tampering with or damaging campaign property isn’t just annoying; it’s against the law under the Criminal Code of Canada and can lead to official charges.
