The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG) has shared its initial hosting payments for the 2026-27 fiscal year, with one local community seeing a nice boost.

The Municipality of Central Huron received $212,504 for hosting Gateway Casinos Clinton from April 1 to June 30. This is an increase of $11,000 compared to the same time last year.

On the other hand, Hanover got $343,117 for its Playtime Casino, which is about $4,000 less than what they received during the same period in 2025.

“Payments to host communities are based on a formula consistently applied across all gaming sites in Ontario using a graduated scale of gaming revenue at the hosted site,” a statement from OLG said.

Since opening in 2001, Hanover has received over $25 million while Clinton has brought in over $15 million.

If you or someone you know has a gambling problem, call Connex Ontario 24/7 at 1-866-531-2600.
