ARNPRIOR – An Arnprior resident has been arrested and is now facing serious allegations, including attempted murder, following an incident that took place on Tuesday.
At around 8:15 p. m. on July 21, officers from the Renfrew Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a weapons-related call in the Town of Arnprior, where they found one individual at the scene with severe injuries.
A 40-year-old man from Arnprior has been charged with attempt to commit murder; making threats to cause death or bodily harm; possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose; aggravated assault; and assault with a weapon.
The suspect is currently being held for a bail hearing, and the investigation is ongoing with help from the Renfrew Crime Unit.
