Renfrew OPP are looking into a two-vehicle accident that led to two deaths over the weekend.

Police were called on Saturday just after 1 p. m. regarding a head-on crash involving a pickup truck and another car on highway 17, in Mc Nab/Braeside.

The drivers, a 55-year-old man from Renfrew and a 71-year-old man from Ottawa, were declared dead at the scene.

Authorities mentioned that highway 17 had to be closed between Goshen and Anderson roads during their investigation, but it has since been reopened.

If you have any information or dashcam footage, please reach out to OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
