A man from Pickering, Ontario has been arrested following a drug trafficking probe in Belleville. Officers from Project Renewal carried out a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act warrant in the east end of Belleville on Sunday, with help from the Belleville Police K9 unit and Emergency Response Team. Items taken during the operation included some cocaine, Oxycodone pills, Canadian cash, and packaging materials. Michael Currie, 26 years old and from Pickering, now faces charges of: Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Oxy Contin Proceeds of crime under $5000 He was taken into custody to await a bail hearing.
