Man from Toronto Arrested for Chop Shop Operation

Man from Toronto Arrested for Chop Shop Operation

A man from Toronto has been taken into custody related to a chop shop in the Peterborough region after provincial police discovered parts from over a dozen stolen vehicles at a site in Buckhorn, Ont.

On January 29, Peterborough County OPP responded to the location of a vehicle suspected to be stolen. The following day, they executed a warrant at a facility in Buckthorn, Ont., with help from the Peterborough/Northumberland Community Street Crime Unit.

A 41-year-old man from Toronto faces charges for possession of property obtained by crime valued over $5,000. He has been held pending bail.
