Ontario Provincial Police have released arrest warrants for two men from Ottawa regarding the suspicious death investigation that took place in Perth on April 12.
According to Lanark County OPP, officers responded to Last Duel Park that Sunday, where they found a 34-year-old man from Ottawa suffering from life-threatening injuries. Christo Allison Richards was transported to a trauma center but unfortunately later died.
The police have now named two suspects facing second degree murder charges. Warrants have been issued for 34-year-old Joseph Madore and 28-year-old Brayton Kennedy, both residents of Ottawa.
Authorities are advising the public not to approach either suspect if spotted and to contact police right away. No descriptions have been provided.
The homicide investigation is being carried out by the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch, with assistance from the Office of the Chief Coroner, Ontario Forensic Pathology Service, and several specialized units within the OPP.
Further details surrounding the circumstances of the death have not yet been disclosed by law enforcement.
