An SUV driver has died following a collision on Highway 17 west of Arnprior, Ont., early Saturday morning, as reported by the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP).
Officers responded to a crash involving a transport truck and an SUV just before 3:30 a. m., according to a spokesperson from CBC. OPP later announced that Highway 17 was shut down in both directions between Campbell Drive and Anderson Road.
There was only one occupant in the SUV, who was pronounced dead at the scene, police stated, without giving further details. No other injuries were reported.
The investigation is still underway. Lane closures on Highway 17 were cleared after 3 p. m.
