A man has lost his life following a crash on County Road 7 close to Crump Road on August 28, according to police.
The Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry (SD& G) Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to the first reports of the incident at about 3:50 p. m. Early investigations reveal that a motorcycle struck the back of a trailer being pulled by a pickup truck.
The rider of the motorcycle, a 37-year-old man from Winchester, was airlifted to an Ottawa trauma center where he was later declared dead. There were no other reported injuries.
Assistance was provided by North Dundas Fire Services, Cornwall SDG Paramedic Services, and an OPP Technical Collision Investigator and Reconstructionist regarding the accident.
County Road 7 remained closed between County Road 3 and Boyne Road for several hours but has since been reopened.
