The Ontario Fire Marshal has been informed about a house fire in Oshawa.

The fire started on Quebec Street near Park Road South and Gibb Street around 4:30 a. m. on Monday.

Four individuals were rescued from the residence, and one of them was taken to the hospital. The details of their injuries are not clear.

At the peak of the incident, there were 21 firefighters present at the scene.

Fire officials have not yet provided any information regarding what caused the fire.
