With haunting lyrics and a strong sense of independence, Lindsay Schoolcraft steps back into the spotlight with her new album, Harrowing, set to be released on June 19. Here’s what she has to share:

With Justin de Blieck from Motionless In White producing this time around, Harrowing boasts a heavier sound than her earlier albums.
This is the band’s third studio album and offers a raw account of survival, renewal, and healing after experiencing narcissistic abuse. Blending nu metal, metalcore, and rocktronica with classical strings and choirs throughout the tracks, this record provides diverse sounds as each song unfolds while Lindsay’s voice remains the constant that guides listeners through their experience.
Lindsay has also dropped a new single titled “Vague,” available now on Band Camp and all music streaming platforms.
Lindsay: “When you have hope you have a future. Never give up on yourself even when the odds feel like they are stacked against you. You will prevail. And your future self will be grateful.”
Thematically, Harrowing acts as both an emotional release and a spiritual awakening. Each of its seven songs captures different stages of survival and healing: from recognizing pain to feeling sorrow, anger, revenge, hope, and finally letting go. The lead single “Crucified” serves as an empowering anthem for survivors-filled with religious imagery and raw honesty in its lyrics. The cover art takes inspiration from Alphonse Mucha’s L’Illustration (Noël 1897), highlighting the dual themes of death and rebirth.
Featured collaborators include harsh vocalist Krista Shipperbottom on “So Alive,” along with composers Rocky Gray (formerly of Evanescence) and Spencer Creaghan (Canadian media star), who teamed up again with Brian Cook. Lindsay’s band members guitarist Cody Johnstone and drummer Dylan Gowan also played key roles in crafting these tracks.

In conjunction with this announcement, Lindsay Schoolcraft has shared a new ‘pop-up’ music video for her recently released single “I Wait For You To Fall,” blending elements of metalcore, nu metal, and rocktronica into an exciting genre-mixing sound. Drawing strong influence from late ’90s to early 2000s pioneers like Korn, The Prodigy, and Republica-the track delivers both nostalgia and modernity that showcases Schoolcraft’s evolving artistry. The first editions of CDs and vinyl feature gold foil details on their covers which won’t be included in later prints. This will be the exclusive pressing for the yellow-to-purple burst vinyl disc; only these physical versions come with the bonus track “Losing It.”
