Romeo “Stan” Nascimento, who was 89 years old, passed away quietly in Pickering, Ontario, on Sunday, July 28. He was surrounded by his long-time partner, Valerie Gribbin, and his son Rene.
Stan was preceded in death by his wife, Elise Nascimento (née Boudreau). He is fondly remembered by his partner Valerie Gribbin, his son Rene; his sister Maria Ferreira; his brothers Raymond and Leslie; along with many nieces, nephews, stepdaughters, grandchildren; friends and tennis partners.
Originally from Georgetown, Guyana, Stan moved to Canada in 1958 and worked diligently at Canada Wire’s Leaside Plant for many years.
A private interment of his urn will take place at Resthaven Memorial Gardens in Scarborough, Ontario, at a later date.
