Our mother passed away peacefully at Humber River Hospital in Toronto on September 6th, 2026 at the age of 83 with her family by her side. She is now reunited with her beloved husband of 62 years, Giovanni, who predeceased her in September 2025.
She was a proud mother to Dario (Shelby), Debbi (Trent), and Sandro (Sabrina) and a loving Nonna to Aiden, Braxton, Massimo, and Matteo.
Noris was born on July 20, 1943 in the village of Cusignana in the Province of Trevisio, Italy to Maria and Antonio Girardi (both predeceased).
She was a dear sister to the late Louis (late Mary) Girardi, Antoinette (late Corrado) Zanatta, and Donella and Joe Gabriel. She was also a sister-in-law to the late Tony Corazza (Elena).
Noris will be fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews.
She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother whose warmth, strength, and constant love impacted the lives of her family as well as everyone who knew her.
Our parents were members of the Fogular Furlan and Marconi Club in Sault Ste. Marie. After retiring from Plummer Memorial Public Hospital in Sault Ste. Marie she spent countless hours volunteering and baking for the Sault Area Hospital.
In her younger days our home was always busy with our parents hosting friends and family. We could tell when they were having guests over because both ovens would be going-something you’d expect in an Italian household.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made in Noris Ragogna’s name to either Sault Area Hospital Foundation or St. Veronica Catholic Church in Sault Ste Marie where they were lifelong parishioners.
Visitation will take place Friday, September 18th ,2026 from 9:00am -10:00am at Delmore Funeral Home (61 Beverly Hills Drive , Toronto , Ontario M3L1A2). The Funeral Mass will follow at All Saints Roman Catholic Church at 11:00am (1415 Royal York Road , Etobicoke , Ontario M9P3E7). Cremation will follow after that.
