PAPADIMITRIOU, Vasilios (Bill) With heavy hearts, we announce the unexpected passing of a dear husband, father, grandfather, and friend. Born on March 24, 1942 in Apollona, Rhodes, Greece and passed away on September 4, 2026 surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Dorothea (Karasavas) for 56 years, a proud father to Evie, Seva (Chris), Debbie and Jimmy (Denice), and a loving Pappou to Vienna, Billy, Victoria and Sophia. Bill was also a dearly loved brother to Elpida (late Apostolos) and family in Greece, George (Maria) and family in Belgium, Chris (Anna), as well as brother-in-law to Savvas Karasavas and family in Toronto. He is predeceased by his parents Dimitri and Sevasti Papadimitriou. A treasured uncle, cousin, and friend to many across Greece, Belgium, Australia, the United States and Canada. For over 40 years he was the heart of Bill’s Woodwork where he gained a reputation for his incredible knack for fixing just about anything. If it was broken and he couldn’t fix it-well then it just couldn’t be fixed. In retirement he enjoyed spending hours nurturing his garden and loved visiting his friends and family back home in Greece. Visitation will take place at Windsor Chapel Banwell. 11677 Tecumseh Rd. E in Windsor on Tuesday Sept 8, 2026 from 2:00pm until 4:00pm and again from 6:00pm until 8:00pm with prayers at 7:00pm. A funeral service will be held at Holy Cross Greek Orthodox Church located at 3052 Walker Rd in Windsor on Wednesday September 9 at 11:00am with interment following at Windsor Memorial Gardens.
