Robert Mc Lean, who was 66 years old, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 26th, 2025, with his family around him. He grew up in Windsor, Ontario and worked as a bartender in Detroit before making his way to Toronto. It was there that he began his career in real estate as a broker. During this time, he met the first love of his life, Mike Norton. They spent six wonderful years together until Mike’s passing in 1995. Later on, Rob found his life partner, Dwayne Lynch. They enjoyed 30 amazing years together filled with great friendships and unforgettable experiences. Their journey took them from Turks and Caicos to Fort Lauderdale and Toronto before finally returning home to be close to family in Windsor.

Rob had a deep passion for music. His voice had a beautiful richness that brought joy to those who heard it. The people of Windsor and nearby areas were fortunate to experience it often. Alongside his brother Larry, they performed as The Moxie Boys (Mc Lean Brothers) for many years. Their chemistry and playful banter always brought laughter to their audiences. With their captivating performances and harmonious sound, they entertained countless fans over the years. Robert was preceded in death by his mother Rose Pare, stepfather Bill Pare, sister Carol, and brothers Michael and Gary. He is survived by his loving partner Dwayne Lynch; brother Larry (Marie); sisters-in-law Susie Murase (Mc Lean), Mary Beth Norton; along with many nieces and nephews. A special thanks goes out to Rob’s niece Coreen Oneschuk for her generosity in donating stem cells for Rob’s cancer treatment and recently providing T cells for a lymphocyte infusion.

Visitation will take place at Windsor Chapel Funeral Home – Banwell Chapel (11677 Tecumseh Rd E., 519 253 7235) on Friday May 30th from 2-5pm and again from 7-9pm; also on Saturday May 31st from 10am until the service begins at 1pm in the chapel. Burial will follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Windsor Regional Hospital – Metropolitan Campus Cancer Center.
